Eckington Manor will host a series of evenings showcasing dishes as seen on screen during Head Chef Mark Stinchcombe’s winning appearance on Masterchef: The Professionals.
Following unprecedented success when launched earlier this year, 11 exclusive evenings running into 2017 will see guests relish a six-course taster menu of dishes only before tasted by Masterchef judges Gregg Wallace, the double Michelin-starred chef Marcus Wareing and chef Monica Galetti.
Owner and Founder of Eckington Manor, Judy Gardner said: “We couldn’t be more proud of the success Mark has achieved and we are very privileged to have Mark and his wife Sue heading up our kitchen here at Eckington Manor. Mark’s journey on Masterchef gripped the nation and catapulted him onto a national stage, inviting him into the sitting rooms of people up and down the country as they tuned in to follow his progress. Mark’s time on the show inspired a nation of foodies and we cannot wait to see him recreate his best-loved highlights, looking at the dishes with a fresh pair of eyes as he is inspired by the seasons.”
Eckington Manor’s Masterchef Menu evenings will take place on the first Friday and Saturday evenings of the month. The first collection will run from October 2016 until April 2017, taking place on 7th & 8th October, 4th & 5th November, 2nd & 3rd December, 3rd & 4th February, 3rd & 4th March and 7th & 8th April.
Kicking off the run of 11 evenings, October’s Masterchef Menu will bring to the fore the fruits of the harvest season. Dishes will include Fillet of Beef and Marrow Bone crusted Short Rib, served with Carrots and the famous Charcoal Emulsion. Presenter Gregg Wallace famously described this dish as “outstanding”.
A popular favourite of judge Marcus Wareing, the Scallops with Roasted Lemon, Peas and Buttermilk also features on the menu. This dish received critical acclaim from the double Michelin-star chef as he described it as “an amazing combination of flavours. I want to eat it again and again!”
To finish, a decadent dessert of Iced Vanilla Parfait, Blackberry & Champagne, closely followed by White Chocolate Panna Cotta & Candyfloss is included, followed by freshly brewed Coffee and homemade Petit Fours.
One half of the award winning culinary couple, Mark shares the role of Head Chef at Eckington Manor with his partner Sue Stinchcombe. Mark Stinchcombe was crowned winner of the 2015 series of Masterchef: The Professionals. Mark beat off tough competition from 12 finalists to take home the top title. During the process, judge and food legend Marcus Wareing described Mark as “a star of the future”.
With full tummies, diners can rest their heads with an overnight accommodation package. Guest can tuck themselves away in one of Eckington Manor’s boutique bedrooms, each entirely unique in its interiors and just a stones throw across the courtyard from the restaurant.
Places to any of the Masterchef Menu evenings are priced at £75 per person and from £299 per couple with overnight accommodation. For more information and to book, visit www.eckingtonmanor.co.uk or call 01386 751600.
