A celebrity hairdresser has taken an extraordinary step in helping his clients experiment with new looks. Stuart Holmes, from the Stuart Holmes Salon and Spa in Cheltenham, has launched a unique i-Phone application which enables users to test out new hairstyles in order to see what suits them.
Whether they fancy a change of hair colour or style, users can upload an image of themselves then choose from over 30 looks to see what suits them.
Stuart, who besides from being a top hairdresser, is a passionate techie. He believes the ‘Hair-Pod’ technology will help a large number of his clients to experiment with new looks before taking the plunge.
Stuart said: “Helping people feel better about themselves is what we are all about at the Stuart Holmes Salon and Beauty Spa. We don’t want clients to have a new style or colour which ultimately they don’t love or feel comfortable with.
“As a result by developing this i-POD application, we are giving people the chance to play around and find a look which makes them feel great. Unlike any other software on the market, the Hair Pod gives a thoroughly realistic image of what any new hairstyle would look like. ”
The Hair-Pod has been developed exclusively for the salon by developers in America and uses bespoke Stuart Holmes branding throughout. It is available to purchase for £1.19 through Apple’s App Store.
Users of the ‘Hair-Pod’ will be able to experiment with new looks then email them to their friends and family as well as upload them onto social networking sites like Facebook. The application will also feature the salon’s treatment and price list, plus directions to the salon.
Stuart added: “Being able to launch this App, which is a first for the British hairdressing industry, is really exciting. People across the UK, and even further afield, will now be able to ‘try before they buy’ with their next hairstyle.”
